Content

This must have been a very popular songbook in view of the fact that it is the 39th corrected and augmented edition. Yet only few copies have been preserved of almost all editions. It is even questionable whether all 39 editions or more were actually published. As there is no complete inventory of what was published in the Netherlands in the period of 1725-1830, and because so much has disappeared, it is difficult to get an impression of what really came on the market qua books in the Netherlands in that period.
