 The bindery of the Jesse printing house in the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal in Amsterdam. On the left is a binding machine, in the centre a stack press and cardboard scissors, on the right a corner rounding machine and a column press (press gilding machine). Just as in the printing shop, young boys work here.
