Content

 Trade card of Clement de Jonghe (1624/25-1677), publisher of books and prints in the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam. A print seller is showing some customers a map of Bavaria. On the basis of the rolled ornament this address card is ascribed to Gerbrand van den Eeckhout, a pupil of Rembrandt. The picture was also used as a title vignette.
