This 'Almanac of the Booksellers' is one of the few known eighteenth-century texts about the book trade. In addition, however, to being a guide and a source of information for those working in the book trade, it is also an 'ordinary' almanac. Shown here is the month of August with the phases of the moon, a timetable for festivals in that month and the dates of birth and death of well-known people.
