Content

Theological arguments were commonplace during the seventeenth century. The disputes between persons and religious movements were also fought out in print via pamphlets, tracts and collections of sermons. The design of this book is characteristic of the genre. Lavish use of various typefaces and a symbolic representation on the title page give the potential buyer an impression of the content.
