 The new public library of Maastricht is housed in a spectacular building designed by one the best-known architects of the Netherlands, Jo Coenen. It is one of the most prestigious new library buildings that have been built in the latter decades of the previous century. Large open spaces, the use of a lot of glass, wood and steel create a pleasant atmosphere.
