Content

This copy of a book printed in the Netherlands was, according to the provenance data on the first blank page, bought new by Henry Barry: 'Iste liber constat magistro Henrico Barry rectori de Culas emptus 21 aprilis 147..'. The last digit of the year is no longer visible through the tearing of a corner of the page. The page contains similar remarks by later owners of the book. Data like this show that books printed in the Netherlands also reached Scotland.
