Content

This "Passio Domini nostri Iesu Christi" is an edition of the Passion of Christ with 66 woodcuts after the design of the painter Jacob Cornelisz Van Oostsanen, active in Amsterdam. The illustrations from this book were 're-cycled' in another Passion story: "Een scoone stomme passye in 80 fighuren" (a beautiful, mute Passion in 80 figures) from 1523-1524, also printed by Doen Pietersz. This was the usual practice in those days.
