 This picture is from a picture book for children. Numbers explain the varied use of paper. ('One of the most useful matters is certainly paper') and how it is made. No. 1 in this picture is supposed to be a portrait of William of Orange. The picture in the middle shows how the dipper, the coucher and the lifter perform their traditionally known tasks.
