Another frontispiece of "De Boekzaal der geleerde werelt". In the foreground Minerva is depicted with a text in her hand, in the background are a few readers clothed in antique garb in a `library for the learned' . The beehive in the middle is traditionally a symbol of diligence, purity and immortality. This issue has been written by one author, J. van Gaveren, who stimulates his readers to draw his attention to news and particulars of which `he wants to give the world a short sketch'.
