Content

 Display of books and prints on the inner court of Petzschens Hoff in Leipzig, also known as Breuningker Hoff. During the Leipziger Messe this was an important meeting place for booksellers from the Republic. This print shows the visit by the Elector of Saxony, Frederik August I with his retinue to the shop of the Amsterdam bookseller and print dealer Pieter Schenk.
