Earliest known prospectus for a publication in Dutch. The text gives a short summary of the story of the book and begins 'Eene schoene ghenuechlicke ende seer vreemde hystorie van eenre vrouwen gheheeten Melusyne ende van harer afcoemste ende gheslachte van haer voert ghecomen synde" [etc.]. It was an important edition with beautiful woodcuts, 'met schoonen personages ende figueren na den eysch der materien verciert'. The bookseller hung this sort of prospectus up in his shop or gave a number of copies together with the books to an itinerant bookseller who could hang them up in the town where he stayed.
