Content

 Voyages of discovery remained a very popular genry, also in the 18th century. The richly illustrated travelogues by Cornelis de Bruin contain numerous, sometimes very large, engravings by himself `with great precision drawn from life'. The Amsterdam University Library has a unique copy with colour printing.
