Content

 The Union catalogue in the old Koninklijke Bibliotheek on Lange Voorhout in The Hague. Since 1922 the management of the national catalogue of all books and periodicals present in the university libraries and the large public libraries in the Netherlands was one of the core tasks of the KB. These libraries all sent the data of their holdings to the KB, where thry were Added to a central card index system. Up until 2000 these drawers with index cards were used. Computerization has ended all this for good.
