 When making woodcuts even more equipment is necessary: drawing pens (fig. 32-33), face-protectors (34 and 35), small brush (36), clamp to hold the plate to be worked on (37), grinding stones (38-39), a press (40), a marble rubbing stone (41), a leather ball for pressing (42) and a roller clad with cloth (43). Figs. 44-57 show, from various points of view, the different ways of cutting into wood and figs. 61 and 62 are examples of processed plates.
