Content

 On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of Stokkink's Electrische boekbinderij in Amsterdam in 1930, this firm published a commemorative volume which included this illustration. A number of books were exhibited which had been bound by this company and which had been on show at the 'Bugra' (Buchgewerbe und Graphik), an international exhibition in Leipzig in 1914. The machine and handmade bindings were produced with of leather or linen and decorated with paint tooling, gold tooling or blind tooling.
