Content

A number of examples of books published by the Gebr. E. & M. Cohen in Nijmegen, Arnhem, and Amsterdam. During the 19th and 20th centuries, the Cohen brothers marketed good Dutch and translated literature, scientific books and books of a practical nature. Their low-priced editions enabled them to achieve an enormous reading public and consequently, their influence on the reading behaviour of the Dutch public of that period was enormous.
